If it is the engine that brings distribution with pinions it is likely that you have a shirt of the cracked cylinder or the viscous bad fan

If a crowded shirt was, the compression would go to the water and rebent the radiator hose usually the lower one (I touched that case)

Hello friend, there is only one truth if the engineers who developed the engine incorporated the thermostat for something is, the thermostat is nothing more than for the engine to have the right temperature if you take it out you are taking life to the engine because the engine metals have always to work at the same temperature, I advise you to check the first radiator (it is likely that this is a covered part) later continues by the rest of the refrigerant system.
Water consumption may be that you have the burned cylinder cover joint or that it has a fissure.
