General Motors of Mexico presented mobile applications of its brands Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac; With which it seeks to improve the experience of vehicle owners, through functions that allow solving the common problems facing customers, facilitating the programming of services with the distributor of their preference and friendly showing all the information regarding their vehicles.
The new applications are digital tools in which the customers of the four brands that have an Apple (iOS) or Android mobile device can customize the information according to their vehicle model.
One of the main advantages of these tools is the “Click To Call”, that is, through its mobile device, the owner of a GM vehicle can be connected with the distributor of its preference, with the Customer Service Center or with the Assistance Service on the road, without having to look for the telephone number. In addition, applications offer maps to find easily and quickly to the distributor closest to the user's current location, making it easier to take the car at service or repair.
Some functions that applications will offer are:
- Owner's manual. There are two functions designed to facilitate the reading of the owner manual. One is a digitized summary of the manual that allows the user to find the information you need to consult.
- Lights and indicators. It allows users to understand the significant of the lights and indicators that can occur during the use of their vehicle ordered by colors: in red, those that are indispensable to check so that the vehicle can circulate; in orange, those that require review although not urgently; and in green, those that indicate when a function is activated.
- Assistance on the road. Through the native telephone maps, the application shows the user's location and the assistance phone on the road, which you can call a single click.
- Locate a distributor. This tool allows you to find a distributor by name, postal code or the current position on the map. When selecting it it is possible to make a call with a single click or indications are obtained to reach it.
- Program a service. This button facilitates sending a direct email to the distributor that the client selects. The mail includes the data of the owner and the vehicle, the request of the service or the repair you want to make and the time and date of the appointment.
- Parking meter. It will help users to remember where their car left parked, allows photographs and marks a signal on the map. It also has a stopwatch where you can schedule the time of the parking meters or parking; For example, this function is useful to warn with an alarm the maximum limit of courtesy in a mall.
- News This function allows users to see all the news of the brand in one place.
- Mobile site It allows users to consult the mobile site of each brand directly from the application.
Mychevrolet, Mybuick, MyGMC and Mycadillac applications are already available to be downloaded for free in APP Store and Google Play, and will offer updated information of all the 2012 and 2013 models of the GM brand portfolio of Mexico.
