Alpine A290 breaks into the market as a statement of intentions, merging the inheritance of the brand's rallies with the most advanced electrical technology. It is not just an electric car; It is the reinvention of sports compact for the new era.

Design and dimensions

Based on the Renault 5 platform, the A290 exhibits a clearly sports DNA. Its body has been widened to reach 1.82 meters , giving it a muscular and determined posture. The length remains compact with 3.99 meters , ideal for devilish urban agility. A distinctive detail is its light signature in the form of "X", a clear nod to classic rally cars. The 19 -inch tires, available in several designs such as "Ionic" or "Snowflake", and specific Michelin tires, complete an exterior that shouts performance. Despite its sports approach, it does not sacrifice practicality, offering 5 doors, 5 seats and a 326 liter .

Interior: Pilot and technology cabin

The interior is designed for the driver to feel with the car. The protagonist is the sports steering wheel inspired by Formula 1 , with a Nappa leather coating and specific buttons, including the "OV" (Overtake) button for an extra power impulse. The cabin combines high quality materials, such as Nappa leather or technical textiles, depending on the version.

The driving post is completed with a 10.3 -inch 10.1 -inch central screen for the "Alpine Portal" system, which integrates Google services. For total immersion, the Premium Devialet and Alpine Drive Sound , which generates a unique acoustic firm for the electric motor.

Motorization and benefits

The A290 will be offered in several power versions, reaching up to 220 hp (160 kW) 300 nm motor torque in its most provisional version, the GTS. This allows you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds . The access versions will have 180 hp and 285 nm.

All variants assemble a 52 kWh , which gives it a homologated WLTP autonomy of up to 380 kilometers . For recharge, it admits up to 11 kW in alternating current (AC) and up to 100 kW in direct current (DC) , allowing to recover from 15% to 80% of the load in 30 minutes.
