MAF sensors published by Manual-Mecanica
I understand what a MAF sensor is and what are the symptoms that an engine presents when this sensor is defective?
Is there a defined procedure to diagnose faults in fuel injection vehicles, how should I correctly interpret the data shown by the scanner?

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: MAF Sensors
When this sensor is damaged, a lot of black smoke comes out of the escape since it does not regulate the gosolina

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: MAF Sensors
The MAF sensor, when the engine fails black smoke, does not turn on, fails as if they were spark plugs, cables or injectors and if the hose is not connected, it goes from the acceleration body to the MAF sensor, does not turn on or not accelerate, and with the scanner if it detects it, it will give you a pending code of the car's mark.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: MAF Sensors
I think they are wrong from the name of the sensor onwards, the probe is called MAP and works as follows, scan the atmospheric pressure and delivers a signal to the computer on board and this compares it with the Lambda probe and according to those calculations determines the amount of gasoline and ignition times ... They are clear?

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: MAF Sensors
Greetings, the denomination is correct, MAF (for its acronym in English Mass Air Flow) mass, air, flow, ordering it would be a air flow sensor that is nothing more than the air flow that enters the engine; Contrary to the MAP (Mass Air Pressure) or air mass pressure sensor (it sounds a bit weird) measures the air pressure differential inside the engine with respect to the atmosphere, in both cases when there is a leakage or breakage of some air hose, the system detects a flow drop (MAF) or pressure (MAP), in the flow case the ECUJO low MAP case most of the ECUs tend to increase fuel and alter the advance. Currently, ECUs are able to detect a MAF fault by comparing the signal with the position of the TPS, generating a DTC relating this failure with a leak (Leak).
