It is exactly the same carburetor that mounts my orion, the marked in red is the butterfly potentiration, in my case they changed it to a reliability recognized by the mechanic and the problem was solved.

Although, it may be that other actuators can give error to the switchboard: such as the motor step by step, the marked in blue or other sensors such as the taking of revolutions of which I am not sure if it is going on or at the inertia steering wheel. Also and as I already told you a switchboard reset can solve the problem.

UHMM ... I thank you for the Park answer. It also gives me the sensation that is going to be the potentiometer that fails. Especially because of the fact that it fails hot and, so I have bichea on the network, it usually occurs. Now I am waiting for the photographs carburetor to arrive. I acquired it to a United Kingdom website by Ebay. When I have it I will change both pieces of mine (step by step and potentiometer) and see what happens. I hope it is solved because it brings me fried. As for the restoration of the switchboard I have understood that with removing the positive terminal of the battery for half an hour it is solved. That said, I will tell you how the movie ends. greetings...

Hi there!

I have the same problem, the hot slowdown is sometimes correct and sometimes a bit low. My carburetor is the same as that of the photo (I have a Ford Sierra 2.0).
In addition, cold start is weird because when I start the first 2-3 seconds, I have to keep it accelerated with the pedal and then the starter acts.

Newly changed membranes, new spark plugs ... and remains the same.
Can it be the same problem? The butterfly potentiometer?

Thankss !!

Uhmm ... I could not tell you for sure since I have changed the entire carburetor for an eBay. In my case what was that, when giving contact, it started but immediately stopped. To the second or third attempt I already started. With the new carburetor said problem is over (apart from the idle). Now the truth is that I take the car and look like another. It has changed from the way of driving it to the sound of the engine. I still try it but, and I cross my fingers, in about one hundred kilometers made with the new carburetor, IRLENTI Zero ...
