Manual-mechanics response on the topic: urgent help needed with ignition on a Contour 2.0
I replaced the camshaft position sensor and thought I'd found the problem, but no, it's still doing the exact same thing. I'm starting to get
a little desperate, haha.
Any other comments would be greatly appreciated.

Manual-mechanics response on the topic: urgent help needed with ignition on a Contour 2.0
Hello. The fuel pressure is within the correct range. Be sure to check the fuel filter and measure the fuel delivery; it should be about half a liter in 30 seconds. It's important to check how much the pressure drops when you turn off the car. It should be around 5 psi, or 10 psi maximum, when turned off and maintain pressure for at least 8 hours or more.
Regarding the sensors, check the resistance and operation of the ECT sensor.
It's normal for the vehicle to start with the camshaft position sensor disconnected, as it's a reference for regulating ignition timing. Your problem could be there; this would show up almost immediately on the scanner as "CMP Circuit Malfunction."
Another important point is to check the fuel pressure regulator. If it's working, as we can see from the pressure in the fuel rail, it could be leaking into the engine through the vacuum line.
I hope this helps.

Thanks Acosta,
the information you provided is very helpful. I'll check the pressure and the regulator. It's a good observation since the injectors aren't leaking, but I'm not sure if it's leaking gas through the regulator's vacuum port. Good luck, my friend. Thanks.
