Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: change bima wheel by rigid steering wheel
Hello, in my humble opinion I would place a common one, here in Argentina there are many Chevrolet S10 trucks that have the same problem and place the reform and never more problems, it is assumed that if you speak of high -end cars the one who buys it will have no problems paying for 1500 $ s that leaves only the spare, but for the daily worker ... That seems to me an exajeration, but until before the bimasa the Mercedes and the BMW appeared were a why ???

Doing what you say would be to return to the past, that first. In addition, if you do you will increase consumption, wear in speed box and other possible breakdowns that are given in the long term.
As Mibato and GustaT34 says at first, the difference is not noticeable but in the long run. In addition, all the pieces were oversized so that they endured everything but being very little efficient. And it is not that the BMW and the Mercedes were crap, but the Seat 124 was also good and became obsolete years ago.
I hope I have been helpful.

BMW and Mercedes Benz obsolete? I have a Mercedez Benz 190e with 2.6L engine I don't think some modern car of another brand has more power

I do not mean that the mechanical systems and elements that were used before are bad, but if they are less efficient and less comfortable. Because for that rule of three, what car today does it have more power than a "Dosenberg Special"?; And personally if I have to choose I stay with a m3 e 46 that has fewer horses but does not break the cervical with each acceleration.
Without removing merit to a car built in the 30s that would ridicule most of the cars built in these last three years.
