Greetings, first check the basics, like whether the Park/Neutral switch is working (if the dashboard indicates P, R, N, D, 3, 2, 1). This signal is also read by the TCM (Transmission Control Module, or the transmission computer). Check its adjustment and the shift linkage. I had a similar issue once when I lifted the transmission to change the rear mount and accidentally forgot to put it in D (mine uses a shift linkage, and in D it can move freely to N or 3). I left it in P, lifted it, changed the mount, and lowered it again. When I went for a drive to see how it was, I noticed the shift indicator on the dashboard was off, and it was also difficult to accelerate. I checked what controls that (the Park/Neutral switch) and it was indeed damaged. I replaced it with one I had from another transmission, adjusted the position, and it was fixed. Check that and let us know.
