Hello, Merry Christmas to everyone
I have a problem with my Megane II, it is from 2004 and has 120,000 km.
Yesterday I returned from dinner with the family and a message came out in the picture that dicious "high motor temperature" something like that was, it didn't give me time since within a few seconds the car stopped, and the temperature marker was quite high.
I tried to start it but nothing, I tried but it didn't start.
I called the insurance to send me a crane, the crane kid did not know what it could be, so he raised it to the crane and took it to my house (we were close).
Today morning I have thrown water into the tank and it has entered very little, (bone, that water had), it still does not start, but after several attempts it does nothing.
The distribution strap was changed to the 80,000, could the belt be?
What symptoms would give if it were the distribution strap or water pump?
I hope you throw a little hand
thank you very much in advance

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Factory
Hello, look before, there is nothing to check with the scanner because the problem could be the temperature sensor

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Factory
Thanks for the answer.
I forgot to say that when I opened the hood in the car, it smelled of "Calentón", but at no time came to come out and the weirdest, I removed the plug of the water tank "very slowly because of the possible steam that could detach" and did not come out or steam or smoke, it seemed that everything was correct.
Is it possible that for a problem in the temperature sensor that message comes out in the instrument box, and that for that reason the engine is not starting?

Greetings

Hello in that case, check that a radiator hose has not been broken; so you comment that the water circuit does not have a pressure; or in another case that the water pump is working correctly

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Factory
Hello friend, when do you comment that the temperature was quite high means that it was stopped? If so, you could go the butt together but the strange thing is that it did not have a pressure and when you tried to start it several times and it does nothing anymore is that it will have been left without a battery I supply because if the battery is fine and the engine is gear is clear that it is already distribution. Raise one of the wheels and put 5 reveal now turn the wheel towards the direction of the march if you notice that it is blocked then it is clear that it is from the distribution although and I tilted more on the subject of refrigerant than by other things
