Hello everyone!

I need help. I've been looking for the workshop manual for a 2007 Optra Design, but I haven't been able to find it. Basically, I need to know the torque specifications for the cylinder head bolts and the throttle body bolts, as well as the timing marks on the camshaft gears and the damper, so I can properly align the pistons with the valves. My timing belt jumped, and 12 valves bent. The cylinder head has already been repaired (they replaced all the valves and guides; they said there was too much play and oil could leak through), but I can't install it because I don't know the torque specifications for each bolt or the timing marks on the camshaft gear and the damper. If anyone has this information, it would be a huge help. I'm not a mechanic; I just enjoy working on my own vehicles. My experience with this is limited to VW Beetle engines, which are very easy because they don't have a timing belt or chain. Thank you very much.

Tighten in a spiral pattern, do you understand?
Step 1: 25 Nm
Step 2: 90°
Step 3: 90°
Step 4: 90°

That's what Autodata indicates for that car. I imagine it's a 1.8, but what country is it from? Because here in Mexico it's a 2.0

Good morning Pineda, thank you so much for your reply. It is indeed a 1.8 from Venezuela, from 2008. I made a mistake with the year (although the 2.0 version also exists here). It's a hatchback (I think that's how it's spelled), meaning the one with the short trunk. At the auto parts stores, they tell me it has the engine from the Optra Design. Let me see if I understand:

First step: I tighten all the nuts to 25 Nm in a spiral pattern (here we call it alternating tightening).
Second step: I tighten each nut by turning it 90 degrees, also in a spiral pattern.
I do this last step three times, alternating each time, until I complete 3/4 of a turn, correct?

If not, I apologize!

I don't know if you know how the timing marks are oriented. I understand that I have to align the marks on each pulley of both camshafts, meaning each mark should point towards the other. And the damper mark should be facing upwards, that's my understanding, but I'm not sure. Any other help would be greatly appreciated, brother! Thanks!

There's a minor issue here, but it's not a problem. The 1.8 Daewoo engine in the Mexican Aveo doesn't have an adjuster (tensioner pulley), but the 1.8 engine in your Optra, I believe, does. Here are the two images.

This is the correct position; it should be as follows:





If your car doesn't have a tensioner, let me know so I can show you the image, but I imagine that, just like in Mexico, the one without a tensioner corresponds to the Aveo engine, 1.8 in Mexico and 1.6 in your country.
