Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: ELVADO CONSUMPTION
Do you have oil leaks?

Does the engine have a lot of oil?

If you take away the engine filling cap that color or appearance?

A health

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: ELVADO CONSUMPTION
If you have a small leak in the Carter Board and in another board they have told me.
If I have removed the filling cover and if what is the oil as with lumps and black dry .. it takes a change of oil and filters already! But if I have done it, it is because I change it and the car goes the same and as they told me the option of changing the engine I want to rule out the engine option before making the oil changes ..

You think it could be that a filter is stuck or the oil is very old. Could you upload both consumption and remove power?

If so, it will be the prox that does the sensor and that of discarding because they have told me that everything is well

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: ELVADO CONSUMPTION
Hello good! How are you?

How much does the ambient temperature indicate?

In most cases if the temperature is much lower, the DME or injection calculator decreases the air flow and increases the fuel supply to level the low temperatures that "exist" ... for that reason the fuel consumption and the decompensation of the engine arrives ...

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: ELVADO CONSUMPTION
My dear Borja Bueu, if you want to try engine condition without instruments I recommend the following:

1st you start the engine in minimum, you take a rag (like an ideal white handkerchief), you put it at the exhaust output, for about 2 minutes or less, when you remove it, you see what color it has if it is dark gravel or oil overflows. That indicates that there is oil leak x the rings or by the valve guides.
2 ° Another test is to remove the oil filling plug or take the oil to measure the oil with the engine in minimum, if this splash is too much and the engine has a change in the behavior (the revolutions are lowered or the engine is headed) that indicates that there are compression problems (worn rings or guides with game)-

Try to see how you go, luck I wish you the best.:)

Good Borja. The consumption you say is not as crazy as it seems, what happens is that filling the deposit of that car is to think twice. To what we are going, you have to check with a confidence mechanic the type (key) of the motor that your car has. But the one that is taxed in the motor block and contrast it with the technical tab, which will not be the first or the last one that put the 2.0 engine, 2.3, (170CV). It is not such a lower option since you comment that it had about 240mil km. If your motor key is correct, I recommend that you focus on the box gives changes. Start by changing the oil, filter and the carter board (of change), be careful with the oil that put that these boxes are very delicate. Have luck ...
