Volkswagen has inaugurated a new test track built at the company's facilities. With more than 227,000 square meters of surface, the new installation has a perimeter track of 1,400 meters, accompanied by special acceleration or braking areas, as well as various areas of irregular pavements and firm firm to perform mechanical behavior tests.
The vehicle quality guarantee system requires that in certain cases a number of units produced to be tested on this track in special conditions, to detect noise or contrast the operation of the devices and mechanisms that equip them.
This project is within Navarra's energy strategy, orient to develop sustainable vehicles that use alternative energy sources and have efficient consumption.
For this occasion, Volkswagen Navarra has made available to the guests some units of vehicles exposed in their museum. These are models produced in the factory, some with almost 50 years old, in which attendees have been able to travel from co -drivers while traveling the new test track.
