This past weekend, hundreds of classics have gathered at the Bilbao Fair Record (BEC!) And there we have moved to tell you firsthand how this engine party has been experienced.
Among sellers of old pieces and miniatures of all types of cars, the classic retro of Bilbao has been a space to share experiences with other owners of classics, exhibit unique cars and motorcycles and buy or sell one of these jewels. Of course, the pavilion flooded people who just wanted to see those silent witnesses from another previous world, in which life went to another rhythm. In short, a space to feel and remember moments again.
And there was everything from legendary Seat 600, Gogos, Beetles, Rolls Royce, Citroen 11 , Military Vehicles, etc. However, as better an image than a thousand words, I leave you a selection of the photos I took inside the pavilion.
Which of them would you stay with? I without hesitation with the Minibus. It is a pity that we could not take a picture from the interior, but I can tell you that it was very spacious and comfortable. In fact, in the background I had a sofa and a table. Can you imagine a better place to spend a different vacation?
Another of the cars that I loved was the gogo. That little round car that rescued in the television series "things from home" to embody the role of Steve Urkel's car. One of its models will go down in history for having the door on the front of the car, where the steering wheel is also.
Among the strange classics we saw there was also a small SIATA Formicheta van, whose manufacturing was limited to 7,000 vehicles between 1963 and 1967. This van was built handmade on a Seat 600E, in fact it had its same characteristics, and could support a load of up to 300 kg. However, half of the rear body was wasted because it was supplied naked by Seat. With all this, the Siata Formicheta, which was marketed at 89,200 pesetas in its biplaza version and 92,000 pesetas in its combi version, was not competitive and stopped manufactured.
However, we not only saw cars, there were also motorcycles: Vespas, Alpine, ... I recommend you look at the modified motorcycle of the upper photo gallery. It is simply spectacular.
What do you think of the classic retro of Bilbao?
