Škoda presents its first electric bicycle "Škoda Green E Line" with an autonomy of up to 105 km and 29 -inch wheels. This bicycle is available on request in the ŠKODA dealers for a price of 2,500 euros.

The new Škoda Green E Line has been designed with the “Pedelec” technology (abbreviation of Electric Cycle pedal). In this type of electric bicycle, the engine only works if the user is pedaling (limited pedaling support). The operation of the electric motor is limited to speeds below 25 km/h for legal reasons.

The motor autonomy is up to 105 km. Once all lithium battery capacity has been used, it can be recharged in a maximum of four hours. The engine is from the Bionx brand and is integrated into the rear axle, delivering 250 watts of power. It is fed by a battery fixed in the box with a capacity of 423 watts/hour and a weight of only 2.6 kg. The whole bicycle weighs only 21.7 kg.

To ensure that the engine helps the cyclist's effort in the best possible way, sensors continuously monitor parameters such as speed, cadence and torque. Depending on the configuration, the engine will contribute 35, 75, 150 or 300 percent of the cyclist's own effort. Škoda Green E Line engine also presents a recovery function that has the energy generated when brakes or lowers. In addition, Škoda Green E Line can easily transform into a standard bicycle with simple rear wheel replacement and easy battery extraction.
