Peugeot Onyx receives the Louis Vuitton Award, which recognizes it as the best prototype of the year, in a ceremony held in Paris on February 5.
Since 2005, every year, a jury composed of automobile professionals awarded two awards during the Louis Vuitton Classic Awards: the Louis Vuitton Classic Concurs Award and the Louis Vuitton Classic Concept Award. The jury has rewarded the vehicles and Concept Cars that have managed to show the double challenge of innovation and experience.
For Gilles Vidal, director of Design of Peugeot , “The Concept Onyx is a super-car that explores the future Peugeot . We have combined a high-end radical range design to noble and compound materials: copper, carbon, felt and newspaper leaves used compressed. This automobile sculpture hides a 600-hybrid V8 engine of 600 horses that exemplifies the domain of the brand in this type of engines and the performance we can get to get them ”.
The Peugeot Onyx , which was presented at the 2012 Paris Hall and was received with unanimous praise by the public, has already received numerous awards, including the Best Concept granted by Autoweek and the best concept of the hall granted by the writings of RTL and Auto Plus.
