On December 14, the last unit of the 500s planned for everyone. This last unit came out in white and was equipped with the Nurbürgring pack.
This milestone has marked a key point in the history of Lexus. There has been a turn towards sportsmanship, passion and pure engineering, which will influence future Lexus. Learning and passion acquired in engineering and the production of a super sportsman can already be seen in the products launched by Lexus, especially in those that carry the badge F and F Sport.
The development of this super sports began from a blank sheet of paper. The carbon fiber was used in numerous components of the vehicle, due to its high resistance capacity, its great rigidity and ultra-light weight. The entire carbon fiber production process was carried out within the Lexus facilities, to develop a “know-how” that will be used in future Lexus products.
The production of the LFA began exactly two years ago, on December 15, 2010, and included a team of around 170 workers specialized in Lexus vehicles involved in the manufacture of parts, assembly of vehicles and paint processes. The LFA occurred at a single unit rate per day.
