Škoda Greenfuture ' strategy is to improve the sustainability of the company, focusing on more respectful of the environment and the promotion of a more efficient use of resources. ŠKODA production will focus on using 25% less energy and water, generate less emissions and recycle even more in 2018.
ŠKODA continually invests in environmental protection: since 1991, the company has invested 410 million euros directly to the sustainable management of resources. Ecological production and efficient vehicles in fuel consumption are traditional in škoda , something that can be evidenced in the current Greenline and Green Tec models of the manufacturer. The Greenline version of the new generation of Škoda Octavia is the most economical in history, since it only consumes 3.4 liters of fuel at 100 km and emits a maximum of 89 g/km of CO2.
Greenfuture principles ŠKODA 2018 Growth Strategy , which implies improving economic performance and lowering the environmental impact. Škoda 's environmental activities more effectively. "
' Greenfuture ' is based on three pillars: Greenproduct, Greenfactory and Greenretail. Greenfactory focuses, particularly on variables such as energy and water consumption and the amount of waste produced in the manufacture of each vehicle, as well as CO2 and COV emissions (volatile organic compounds), such as those generated when painting the bodies.
ŠKO-EERGO, the energy supplier, will replace coal with biomass in the form of wooden granules to heat the ŠKODA in Mladá Boleslav. This contributes to a significant reduction of emissions from the production process in about 45,000 tons of CO2 per year.
The last example of resource conservation is the implementation of the new servomechanical pressing line in Mladá Boleslav. This new pressing installation works more effectively and at the same time consumes less energy, and represents one of the most modern facilities of this type in Europe. It requires 15% less energy than the previously used technology.
Greenproduct is responsible for sustainable mobility, which is currently mainly represented by Greenline and Green Tec models. The entire range of models has a growing use of modern technology, thus contributing to efficient operations and a lower impact on the environment. ŠKODA models with emissions below 120 grams of CO2/km available, including ten that also fall from the 100 grams. A test fleet of ten electric vehicles is - the Octavia Green and Line - collecting data for the investigation of mobility with zero emissions. škoda vehicles are recyclable by 85%.
The third pillar is Greenretail, concessionaires and ecological workshops. Part of this are the so -called environmental audits, which prove compliance with environmental standards, reward the 'ecological seal' to concessionaires and organize events such as 'Spring Clean 2012', through which about 95 tons of unnecessary material or scrap of the stores of Czech service partners were collected and 90% of the total.
ŠKODA employees also contribute to environmental protection in their free time. Since 2007, for each vehicle bought in the Czech Republic, Škoda has planted a tree in the country. To this day, 363,000 trees have been planted, to which 60,000 more seeds will be added during this year.
