General Motors Mexico has started a campaign in which he will call review part of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, manufactured during 2010, 2011 and 2012, due to a possible absence of the secondary lock, which could have occurred during the vehicle assembly process.
The consequence of this lack could be that if the primary bolt of the chest is not engaged, the chest could open unexpectedly. However, it is a very unlikely situation, which has not yet taken place in Mexico.
The number of vehicles that will be called to review is 7,490 vehicles, whose owners will be contacted by postal mail from December 21. The letter will encourage them to go to their preferred Chevrolet or GMC distributor, where the presence of the secondary bolt will be inspected, and in case it was not present, the vehicle's chest will be replaced without cost.
