The local Coca-Cola subsidiary in Japan will use the Nissan E-NV200 electric van as a sales vehicle in Yokohama. The objective is to evaluate its abilities and its usefulness and compare it with the vehicles that it usually uses with gasoline and diesel. The van will be recharged only during the night, when the consumption of electricity is lower. The tests will determine whether a single night charge is sufficient to respond to daily use.

Nissan has already performed road tests, with companies such as AEON, Fedex Express and British gas in Japan and Europe. Nissan uses the reports of these tests in real use conditions to refine the final setting of the E-NV200, whose launch is scheduled for 2014. This commercial vehicle will be the second electric vehicle model (EV) of Nissan of mass production, after the Nissan Leaf, manufactured in Barcelona for the whole world.

With a large and multifunctional interior space, the E-NV200 will contribute innovation to the market of light vans and consolidate Nissan's leadership in the field of EV electric vehicles. Combining the Nissan Leaf motor system with the innovative and base -based practice of the NV200 van, the vehicle will not only be characterized by the absence of CO2 emissions but also by its acceleration and its silence. In addition, the E-NV200 will have the lowest operating costs in the segment, one of the key factors in the profitability of transport companies.
