Audio wiring. Published by manual-mecanica
Hello everyone, I'd like some advice on how to do a simple and functional car audio installation.
My setup would consist of: 2 speakers in the right door, 2 speakers in the left door, and 2 speakers in the trunk, with a power amplifier. Thank you very much.

Hi mate, when you say two speakers in one door you mean component speakers, I assume. What kind of help do you need? Tell me the make of your car, if you don't already have the speakers, how much you're looking to spend. "Tray del bonnet" is the tray in the back. Give me more details about what you want and I'll help you. Cheers.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: audio wiring
I'd like to have two 40-watt speakers, 80 watts in each door. Two 80 or 100-watt speakers in the rear parcel shelf and two small speakers in the front, on top of the dashboard. I don't know what the small speakers do, but they look great.
Then, regarding the amplifiers, I'm not sure which one to get.
Can you play the car's DVD player through the car speakers?
I can't put a subwoofer in the trunk; I have two kids and I need the space.
First, for the front door, I need to make a box, line it with fiberglass, and paint it. How do I apply the fiberglass?
Second, I need to know the wiring diagram and diameter.
Third, I want to run the wiring through the middle of the car and the amplifiers behind the rear seats.
Fourth, the car is a Peugeot 306.
Thanks in advance.
By the way, if the car is yours, it's really cool.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: audio wiring

Good afternoon, I apologize for the delay, but work doesn't leave me much free time. Okay, let's get down to business: 1. You want to install two speakers in each door and use fiber optics. My opinion, if I may offer it, is that your car has enough space for 170mm speakers in each door, and you can find speakers of this size with more RMS power than you need. 2. The speaker wires are 2.5mm oxygen-free. For the amplifier's power supply, you'll need 5mm oxygen-free wire, a fuse holder and fuse, and RCA cables for the audio. (Your radio/CD player must have at least one RCA output if you're only using an amplifier; the amplifier can also be connected to the speaker outputs, but this reduces the risk of damaging the speakers or the amplifier.) 3. You can run the cables through the middle of the car; just keep in mind that the amplifier's power cables shouldn't be close to the audio cables. 4. If your radio/CD player has an audio input, you can listen to the DVD through the car speakers. 5. The small speakers are tweeters; through them you only hear the high frequencies of the music. They work perfectly for listening to music with effects. The car is a Myo. Thanks. Regards.
