Hello friends.

A while back, the front left wheel of my Peugeot 206 started squeaking when turning at low speeds (10-20 km/h). I took it to have the wheel checked, but they told me the problem wasn't the brake pads or the disc, but rather some rubber parts in the steering rack that had probably dried out, and the friction between them was causing the noise. Every now and then the noise goes away, but then it comes back.

One place told me the tie rod ends were bad, but another said they were fine... so I don't understand anything.

Thanks.

If your car is still under warranty, fight it, make a fuss, and don't give up until they take it back.

Otherwise, all this running around to repair shops is going to cost you money...

Anyway, I don't know what it could be if I don't hear the noise or test drive the car. (I'm a mechanic)

Best regards
