PEUGEOT 306 HDI Motor Stays by Manual-Mecanica
Hello everyone, my problem is with a 90cv Peugeot 306 HDI. It is 2002 and has only 35000km. I use it little and it is always in garage, heat it before starting and I also leave it to the slowdown 3 or 4 minutes before stopping it, well the problem is that while slowing down the car stopped, I was waiting for that time to stop it and suddenly it stops without operating any switch, control, door, etc. As I miss a lot, I tried to start again and it was impossible, after several attempts I had to leave and after three hours I tried again and if I started, I realized when I stop If towards all that repertoire of sounds and I start well the first, then stopped it and started again several times and there was no problem, this failure has happened to me on two or smooth occasions, one of them in progress, when that happens, the key is, the key being in progress by the inertia, and I start without problems, do anyone know what can be? I do not want to go to the concessionaire for the moment because for experience I do not trust them, a greeting and thanks to all.:(

Did the motor failure lit when it stopped? Or did you ignite the chivato of the key recognition error and a chicharra began to sound like when do you leave the lights on?

If nothing weird in the box was ignited nothing more than oil pressure and battery charge witness, the failure can be of the inertial even device. This system is located on the left side of the vain motor as you are in front of the car.

This system is a red or black button, square, of rubber that is subject to the chassis, more or less at the height where the cap is to throw the oil into the engine. (It is next to the shock absorber).

When you hit the car, its mission is to stop the engine immediately to avoid the fire or major mechanical damage (eg, broken radiator, broken carter etc ...) The problem comes when you decide to activate alone and stop you for the car without knowing what happens to it.

If the button is skipped, it is enough to press it again to rearm it and start without problems, but I do not think it is the button, but the electrical connector that is below it, which may not make contact properly.

To rule out this breakdown, it is as easy as removing the button connector and bridging the terminals. (Eye, this is as a test measure). If it does not fail you, you know where the failure is, and if on the contrary it continues to fail, it will be necessary to think about looking elsewhere (at least it does not cost you money to check).

Greetings and with whatever you post ok?

Test with another key is possibly the anti -theft or immobilizer of the car normally gives that fault, if it will make it back they have a brown or rectangular black problem of terroristic acts and make electronic sweeps in specific areas.-

If the key recognition in the car fails, a specific yellow witness is lit in the painting, next to the fault and begins to whistle like when you leave the lights put on.

I say it because it happened to me with a Berling Hdi that I have, I asked for copies of keys and controls to the house and had to be configured.

After a positive recognition, you can put any key or even make the bridge that starts, but if it fails twice in a row, there is no way to start it until once.

Now, the engine compartment relays is very possible, that more than once the contacts are fiery and produce quite fucked failures to find out.

All the best.

Thank you all for your opinions, I will try the red button when I fail again although I think it is a problem of relays or false contacts of some connector, when I have a novelty I put it in the forum, a greeting.
