Electronic failure Clio 1.2 16v 2003 published by Manual-Mecanica
Good, I have a Renault Clio 1.2 16v 2003, I mark the electronic failure light (resistance and rulito above). It is intermittent and when it turns on, the speed and the accelerator does not respond automatically does not respond. I changed the spark plugs on the recommendation of a mechanical workshop but was not resolved.
When analyzing it with the computer, the failures they throw are:
- DF116: Functional failure Fuel circuit; O2 sensor error, enrichment.
- DF167: Short circuit to battery of the butterfly potentiometer
- DF167: Butterfly angle sensor; Out of limits,

did anyone have this failure? Thanks!

Manual-workshop response on the subject Electronic failure Clio 1.2 16V 2003
This motor error can mean that the butterfly position sensor (TPS) is defective or badly adjusted. The TPS informs the motor control unit on the opening angle of the butterfly valve, which regulates the air flow to the motor. If the TPS is out of limits, it can cause performance, consumption or emissions problems. To solve this error, you must check the operation of the TPS with a diagnostic machine or a multimeter and verify that the signal is linear and has no jumps. If the TPS is damaged or barefoot, you must replace or adjust it according to the manufacturer's specifications. Have you been able to check the TPS?

These error codes indicate problems with the fuel system and the admission butterfly position sensor. It is likely that there is a problem with the oxygen sensor, which could cause the fuel mixture not to be adequate and that the engine does not work properly.

Hello good afternoon, replace the TPS sensor, buy the original, the genericians are not reliable and can spend this again in a short time. You can validate its operation with a multimeter for CersiORART that the electrical wiring is in good condition, places the tip of the voltimeter to battery negative and with the positive terminal of the multimeter and with the connected sensor you must find in the three pins 5v - 300mv - 0.5 volts with the butterfly in minimal, by accelerating the pin of 0.5 volts you will commit to the value of the wire Open, when you get to the top you must have 4.5Volts to 5volts. If the measures are not correct, check the point to point. Delete the fault codes and test the vehicle, if when completing several work cycles, it re -loads the valid rich mixture code if there is a smell of gasoline in the exhaust, if so do maintenance to the injection system, but change the 02 sensor.
