I have a cylinder head that has good compression but that the pressure pipeline that goes to the valves broke and the oil went to the water. I disarmed it and found where it was chopped. The point is that if the cylinder head is peak by corrosion and it no longer has to buy a new one but how do I know if the block will not give me problems as the old cylinder head gave me? If someone has a similar experience please share with me.

Remove the engine of the engine make water inside the block, place pistons in the middle and load the cylinders with red box of automatic boxes, if the water is stained inside the possible block you have a fissure in some cylinder, try with that to be as tal, then check the plane of the block, if there is nothing strange mountain quietly ... greetings ...

Hoooooo I lost myself, if the block is of molten iron you will not have problems if it is aluminum, even if you died the butt you repair or buy it, but to buy it it must be very, very bad, they are usually repaired, the blocks are many more resistant ever nothing happens to them to not be that it is very mistreated the vehicle, the test that Bata tells you is as little practical, I am not saying that I The crack would work would have to be large and if that is the case it would be seen with the naked eye, in addition the fissures of the block are presented when they are subjected to pressure and temperature.

It is better to make sure before Motar, I have had problems with bent and cracked block specifically from Fiat 1.6 16valvulas being this iron the fissure was so small that the only way to see it is with brake fluid hydraulic oil or gasoline, possibly it is not the case of this partner, but when working mechanical it is very important to detailed any small problem that can come from other causes it is always better to be sure to have the camera again. siblings
