Hello everyone.
First of all I want to thank this page for their help in mechanical and manual issues, it has been very useful.
I have an Avante Gls Sw Elantra Model 96, 1.8 engine with multipoint injection and double camshaft.
A few days ago, on the road and climbing at a good pace, the engine temperature began to rise, after stopping and receiving assistance, I had to take the car in crane to my house. The repair included change of the radiator, change of the seal or packaging of the butt or camera, installation of new thermostat and electrical review of the electro -seasons; also change of refrigerant.
After the repair I took it back to the road and again reheated, reaching the red zone of the thermometer and even for the pressure to release the hoses once the reserve tank and again of the radiator (which goes to the reserve tank); This time I stopped in time and no more damage were caused, but it was even necessary to remove the thermostat and stop several times letting the engine cool for about 45 minutes to reach my destination.
I would like to request their help to know where to look for the problem, because as the radiator commented, it is new, the same as the thermostat, the two electro -seasons work correctly, because at the time of the reheating I opened the engine compartment and both were turned on, and not appreciated refrigerant leaks.
Thanks for your comments.
Atte.,
Sergio.
