Excess temperature in Chevy C2 2005. Published by Manual-Mecanica
Greetings to all of the forum; I would like to consult you the problem I have with my Chevy. It turns out that it was fine and yesterday that I went out to work, I noticed that the temperature indicator on the board shot up to the maximum, and stopped my march in a gas station thinking that it was lack of antifreeze; But the problem continued. I let it rest all night and in the morning that I took it out the problem, since the needle rose in less than 5 minutes, I uncovered the chest and the water of the deposit was at the maximum of Ebullicion that I even thought that the deposit was going to explode. My fear is that the engine will be reheated and cause a greater failure. What can be ?? Some counselors tell me that it is the bulb of the temperature, I read the Chevy manual and the most indicated is that it is the fault of the thermostat or the water pump ... Thank you, I wait for your opinions and advice. See you soon

Indeed, it must be the problem of the water pump or the thermostat, take care that it will not be overheat again because the head of the head or definitively damaging it can be burned.

Greetings to all, problem solved. It was the thermostat that was damaged and all the hot water stayed in the engine, there was no flow to the radiator; That is why the temperature indicator shot and the water boiled in the tank. The thermostat was changed to a new one and the problem was solved, the water was already passed to the Eadiator and the whole system cooled properly, giving the times to the fan.
Thank you all and I hope this information serves as a reference if something similar happens to them. See you soon.

How my friend Alex, in addition to those commented by the friend Pocho, also check the bulk or temperature sensor since when he fails he does not work the motorcycle maker or failing that the motorcycle machine is already failing and does not turn on the required temperature, I hope I serve you the information, we are pending. greetings.
