Hello, greetings to all here. DAYS I did a resistance measurement to my spark plug cables, being these: 1.- 3.48OHMS 2.- 3.30OHMS 3.- 3.83OHMS 4.- 3.83OHMS AND DISTRIBUTOR TO DISTRIBUTOR CABLE 21KOHMS.- I think that the coil is very resistive, although I do not notice that the engine will work irregularly, also use resistive spark plugs. What they tell me is good to use resistive cables and spark plugs. These values are within normal?
1.00 linear cable meter <= 20,000 OHMS 20 K OHMS 0.75 linear cable meter <= 15,000 ohms 15 k ohms 0.50 linear meter of cable <= 10,000 ohms 10 k ohms
0.25
linear meter of cable <= 5,000 ohms 5 k ohms And check that spark plug is recommended for your vehicle Note: Check the cable connectors that are in good condition and measures the cable, take out the percentage thus you will achieve an optimal measurement.
Thank you nismo_35 for your answer. Analyzing your data the values for spark plug cables would be fine, not that of the coil to the distributor is very high. Looking at Autodata this with the correct spark plugs Bosch WR8DC for a Toyota Corolla.
