To check for spark, disconnect a spark plug wire and touch it to any part of the engine. You can do this with all six cylinders. It would also be good to measure the voltage to ground. With a multimeter, measure from the negative terminal of the battery to any part of the chassis. This reading shouldn't exceed 30mV. If it's higher, the vehicle has a poor ground connection. To check if it's the fuel, you'll need to measure the fuel pressure the pump is delivering. The filter might be clogged, or the fuel rail pressure regulator might be stuck. Good luck, friend.
