Peugeot 106 Max air conditioning problem. Posted by manual-mecanica
Hello everyone, I have a problem with the air conditioning in my Peugeot 106 Max. The compressor isn't activating. I've checked that it has refrigerant and it does, but no cold air is coming out. Also, the interior fan doesn't stop even when it's set to zero. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

It has a problem with the relay or the speed switch. You have to check all the relays and verify if the coil is good by connecting a wire directly to the compressor. You also have to check the pressure relief valves, both low and high

Thanks, now I have to find out where the air relays are. The coil and valves are beyond me; I don't know how to do it. I'll try the first thing and let you know the result. Thanks again.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Problem with Peugeot 106 Max air conditioning
Some cars have a function that activates the interior fan when you turn on the air conditioning, only at the first speed if I remember correctly. Regarding the compressor, as others have said: check the compressor coil and the pressure switch (or three-function valve), which is responsible for activating the compressor based on the circuit pressure.

Hello again, I'm still having the same problem. I took it to a Peugeot workshop and they told me that the compressor isn't getting power and that they need to find the wiring diagram to diagnose the fault. I still think it's a relay, but I don't know which one. Could you tell me in detail so I can check it? Thanks
