PMS in compression or escape? Posted by manual-mecanica
Hello everyone, I have a doubt. When the piston is in PMS how to identify whether it is in your compression or escape career, to differentiate between piston No. 1 and No. 4, since both are found in PMS. I ask this to have the exact location that the distributor's rotor must point, if Bujia No. 1 or No. 4. I know that he must point to the piston that he is in compression race.

Thank you.

Thank you for your answer, but it is for when the cylinder head is mounted. I tell you, I step that the distribution system went to the $%&%& it was broken, everything only was saved, and the synchronization 2 admission valves collided with the pistons, so that out everything and I entered the doubt in what I asked since according to the position of the cam of cam gives the 2 options in the distributor. It is a LUV with Isuzu G161 motor. Have a good day.

hi, friend!! As you say that it has brush, to identify the Nom 1 piston in PMS it must point to the aforementioned ...
or if you want to identify it you can turn the crankshaft and verify its admission and escape times
