Hello, I imagine that the engine in question is the Zetec with Ford EEC4 injection.
These engines running with CNG usually have difficulty being regulated.
Much more when they accuse some wear, especially in the valve train, but there is a small trick, first check that the advance variator is correct and it works well. If this is so you can try to regulate the iac (or idle) valvular Regulator, with a fine screwdriver you toured it and one direction and the other with the engine running until you find the idle better.
It is usually achieved stabilized the march well but in some cases not.
