Electronic ignition Asia Towner. Posted by manual-mecanica
Hi, I have a Towner Talk, Van, glazed. I have come with ignition problems for a long time, I took her to an electrician and I had fixed it but the problem appears again, I would like someone to orient me a little since I am driving myself with this problem.
Thank you

Manual-Mecanica response on the Reia Towner electronic ignition.
The problem is that I know at times does not mandate spark and consequently the engine stops and then does not want to start.
The captor and a module that work along with a standard or universal coil have inside the distributor. When it is for a while, I suppose it is because it cools), it generates spark again and then lights, but it lasts on only a few minutes and stops again for the same problem. Thank you for any orientation that you can offer me. Greetings.
Manuel

That problem is usually the captor of the distributor a common problem in the Volkswagen, although if the ignition module is inside the distributor, this may be the culprit as its lads, or the inner coil if it brings it from dendro can also fail as in the lancer mitsubishis or in the deep, the problem is that the fault is the same for the three components, then the three Together, but you should discard the contact sheet that produces a similar failure, of course this is easier to send a positive heating from the battery to a coil if the problem is not stopped.

Within the distributor there is only the captor, the module is out, mounted on a heat dissipating plate, that is what you call the contact sheet? I ask you why I am not a mechanic. While I like mechanics and something I search, it's a lot that I need to know. The captor is somewhat expensive, a little more than US $ 60.- And I really do not want to spend them because the money is not plenty of, (bah, I have not been left over for me), hahaha. Thanks and greetings again.
