Remember that these engines work by precion in the cylinders, when smoke leaves it means in my opinion that the diesel comes out raw without burning, it is always better to start with the simplest, and verify the level of engine oil, if you have a lot of consumption we are already talking about something else.

Change heater and check the pump if you have any gasoil loss also check the sleeve that is going to have if you are throwing some oil the turbo and the engine is burning it. Revise the sleeves that go to the turbo.
