Where is the overlap? Posted by manual-mecanica
Hello, in the D4F engine the distribution diagram tells us that the intake valve opens 10º "after" of the PMS (negative delay advance) and the exhaust closes 8º "before" of the PMS (negative progress closure exhaust) so where is the crossing of this engine? If the escape closes before the admission, I do not see it anywhere, I hope someone speaks of Téma.

Check that the manual where you took the info has a good translation.
It is not a thing that the altered ends are, and you go crazy, theme.
I spend a free of a Mexican publishing house. The American manual of American origin, but, translated and published in Mexico, had a part of the text that did not close me, and once a technician, (instructor of a course) he told me that the same happened to him, until he discovered the error.

I do not know, perhaps the translation error is possible, but in another Renault engine belonging to the megane I have seen the same. In recent times it has been seen how the engines were decreasing the degrees of AAA until reaching 1st in the F2N or the F7P and also in the RCE the same thing happened with values of 3rd motors without variable distribution.

I did not keep in mind the case, but if those values are true, it is a novelty, since a disapproved turn is being left, I have not read anything about it but it can also be a strategy to save fuel and improve emissions, no matter how much some power is lost, it will not
be a matter of continuing to investigate to find a justification.
