Water in the Monza oil. Published by manual-mecanica
Hello forum members, I need your help and wisdom. Yesterday, my 2001 Monza's temperature rose and the engine started making a very loud noise. I checked the oil dipstick and found water (beige in color). It seems some valves broke, but hopefully it's not too serious. I would appreciate it if you could provide me with the owner's manual in Spanish so I can start removing the cylinder head, or what you recommend I do. I really need it fixed because it's my only means of transportation for work. Thank you in advance, and I hope you can help me.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Water in Monza oil
Hi, it's likely the head gasket blew, allowing a leak between the combustion chambers and the cooling system. The solution is to remove the cylinder head and find the leak. Cheers. Oh, and I don't think a problem with the valves would cause water to get into the oil. Good luck.

Hey friend, I recommend that when you remove the cylinder head, you take it to a machine shop to have its flatness checked. It might be advisable to resurface it and replace the gasket. Send me the engine type and I'll give you the torque specifications you need.
Regards.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Water in Monza oil
It's a 2001 Monza, 5-speed manual, 1.6 MPFI engine. Yesterday a mechanic looked at it and started it up, and he said that some valves might be damaged. Let's hope it's not anything more serious. Thank you in advance for your reply, edgar2011.

Thanks pepeb for your reply. Yesterday a mechanic looked at it and said it was possibly some damaged valves. He started it up and heard a loud rattling noise, and that's where he came to that conclusion. Let's hope it's not too serious.
