If they are gasoline engines, they are just installed and that's it; it's hard to get them started because the injection rail is unloaded. If it's an old diesel engine, they are calibrated. If it's common rail, nothing is done, but if it's a diesel engine, you must bleed the system very well.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Programming injectors for a 2005 Ecosport
This is a common rail diesel. The problem is that it went to a mechanic's shop because compression was escaping from the copper washer of injector #2. They removed all four injectors, installed four new washers, and it wouldn't start again. Then they brought it to my shop, and I got it started like this: I press the start button with the accelerator pedal pressed, and after about 7 seconds it tries to start. Then I wait a second and try again, and after about 3 seconds it starts, but only runs for 10 seconds before shutting off. I have a friend with the same EcoSport, and I put his injectors in the faulty EcoSport, and it starts instantly, but it only runs for 10 seconds as well. Since they removed all the injectors at the other shop, and I don't think they put them back in the same place, tomorrow I'll try rotating all the injectors to see if they have a specific orientation. I'll let you know how it goes. Regards

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Programming injectors for a 2005 Ecosport
Hello friends, I appreciate your intention to help, I know this from the large number of views this topic has had, and I have a great answer for you, so pay close attention and I'll give it to you so the same thing doesn't happen to you.
It turns out that I put the injectors back in my friend's EcoSport, and SURPRISE, it wouldn't start again. So I called the dealership and they asked me if I had touched the nozzles, and I explained that I only cleaned them with a rag for maybe 2 seconds, just to remove a little carbon from the tips, like I do with all Toyota and Nissan injectors. They told me that I can do that to any injector EXCEPT ECOSPORT injectors because they get damaged instantly. So I laughed at them and didn't believe them. So I talked to a friend who has a friend who worked for Ford, and surprise, surprise, he asked him if by any chance I had touched the injectors in any way because if I had, they were damaged, and the big problem is that they cost $600 USD each (a crazy amount of money here in Honduras), and the whole car costs $4,000. So my friend told me to try taking them to a diesel repair shop to see if they could be repaired. I went to the capital, and the technician told me that two injectors were excellent (1 and 4) and two were fair (2 and 3), and I paid $35 for each one. When I put them in, the damn car started instantly, but now the problem is that it has no power to start. I have to rev it to 2,000 RPM because otherwise it stalls, and when I drive it, you can feel how sluggish it is. Could it be that the injectors are faulty and I need to buy new ones? PLEASE HELP ME. If it's relevant, I have the VCM IDS FORD.
