Trooper 90 Published by manual-mecanica
: Ohmy: Does anyone know where the connector is located on a 1990 Isuzu Trooper 2.6? The computer says it's in front of the gear shift on the console. I've looked everywhere and found nothing. Does anyone know? Thanks

I have an Isuzu Trooper from that year. The computer or ECU is located in front of the gear shift, between the front seats... it's under the storage box... I hope this helps...

Hi, how are you?

If you're referring to the diagnostic connector, it's located on the right side of the dashboard next to the door. There's a small window there; open it and connect it in that area.
In other models, you'll find it behind the glove compartment on the right side.

Regards.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: trooper 90
Hi... I'm familiar with the 2.6 Trooper up to '89, and it has a self-diagnostic system that's activated by connecting two wires located under the gearshift console, between the two seats and above the computer. When you connect them and turn the ignition on, the check engine light will flash; that's where you get the code. If that's the case and you need help, I'd be happy to assist you
