Good afternoon, companions.

I hope you can help me with my problem. It turns out that I have a Jaguar X-Type 2.2D and the other day, changing a bulb, I disconnected the battery. To try it, I put the terminals of it, but squeeze, and the car began to flash the interires lights. I removed the contact, tightened the terminals well, and tried to start, but the vehicle did not do it. I put a message as: "Immobilizer without deactivating." What do you think it can be? Thank you.

Hello, how are

the system in into the security phase, and what is happening that the system is scheduled not to be stolen,
your key carries an internal chip, at the entrance of the key it carries an antenna and from this passes to the computer that is the one that receives the signal and allows the action of all the sensors and you can start your vehicle, when an abnormal key or abnormal movements are detected this safety system is activated.
You must go to your concessionaire and with a programming machine the imm -/active will be deactivated

Good night, automotive GAMV.

Thanks for your prompt response. In the end I think that in the end I will have to take it to the house to put the computer and try to activate it, at the same time that they nail a paston for it. I thought there was some option to activate it with the key, as in other models.

Anyway, GAMV Automotive Your answer has been very useful, to know more or less what the problem has been. Again, thanks.
