Siena 1.8 Flex System published by Manual-Mecanica
I have a Siena in the workshop with Flex system and the problem is that the car turns correctly but does not respond to the accelerator pedal. Probe to replace the pedal and butterfly potentiometer (which would be the screen that cuts the air passage to the admission entrance)

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Siena 1.8 Flex System
Greetings Friend Frank, has the symptoms that is the servo of the accelerator, most of the new cars are now using a kind of electronic guaya (Fiat calls Drive Wire), in which a sensor located on the pedal indicates the position to the ECU and this in turn moves the serve of the accelerator, the bad thing of these is that most of the time the gears of the servo are of plastic To skate inside, leaving the butterfly immobil (internally it has a spring that forces to keep closed if the servo does not act), the easiest thing is to replace the acceleration body, others choose to make the worn parts again if it can be disarmed, why there are systems that come sealed, make them accelerate by pedal and listen if the servo moves, if it is not listened to, if you do not listen, if you do not listen, if you do not listen. You listen to but it does not accelerate is damage to the internal gear. Good luck and tell us how it went.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Siena 1.8 Flex System
Greetings Franck, good that you have solved the problem, it is strange about the ECU with damage to such a recent model, but as everything is possible, I appreciate that you have posted the problem and as you solved, greetings.
