Astra G camshaft sensor published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello, my name is Lazaro and I am new in the forum.
The fact is that I have an Astra G (Z16XE) and a few months ago the fault light went on in the box, I went through the workshop and gave
the camshaft position sensor, I changed the sensor
and I still have the same problem and the same breakdown.
When I start cold, the light does not turn on, but when the engine
reaches about 80º the light turns on again.

Could it be that the new sensor is also bad?

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Rera G camshaft sensor
What are your symptoms ????? If you have chances of scanning the car, check the Frezee Frame, delete the code and repeat the Frezee Frame data, to see if it repeats it again, but, you can start by checking the wiring, the signal, earth and the voltage of your sensor.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Rera G camshaft sensor
The car works perfectly, the only thing that when the light is turned on is limited to 120 km/Hy does not exceed 3,500rpm,
but it does not pull or anything like that.
I scan it, the fault is erased but when it starts it turns
on again, always with the hot engine, why
does the breakdown not appear?
I have proven the sensor signal, with the engine at idle,
and varies from 4.7v to 5.2V more or less, and at the time the breakdown light is turned on the signal is fixed at 5V.

If it is true, what is the code, but the sensor that you just put is new? or used?, why apparently the sensor has a problem, because when it is heated, it no longer records the magnetic variation.
