Opel Corsa starts, I turn it off and it won't start again. Posted by manual-mecanica

1998 Opel Corsa Viva diesel, new battery. It starts, drives a few meters, then won't start again, as if the battery is faulty. If I don't move it, it starts 2 or 3 times without fail. Could it be the alternator? The low battery warning light isn't on, but it starts if I recharge the battery.

Hi friend, try using a multimeter to see if there's an increase in battery voltage when you accelerate. If so, the alternator is charging

Dear Sir/Madam, to rule out the alternator as the problem, disconnect the battery terminal while the engine is running. If the alternator is working properly, the engine should continue running. If the alternator is faulty, the engine will stop immediately.

I play once the same problem in a Corsa and the problem is that the cable was isolated, the negative terminal that goes to the chassis (body) not to the engine's block, hopefully it is the same problem
