Friend, it's clear you need to change the spark plugs, but one of the most likely causes is that they're fouled or wet. The fouling is simply because they've reached the end of their lifespan, and the wetness is because you might have a leak from one of your injectors (if your Hilux is fuel-injected) or improper jetting in your carburetor (if it's carbureted). This causes a rich fuel mixture. What you should do is change the spark plugs and see what happens.
I hope this helps, and good luck with your truck. Cheers.;)

What's wrong with the vehicle? To help you, you need to describe the problem. Your ignition coil might be bad, but in a vehicle with a distributor, advancing the timing can improve it. That helps diagnose the coil issue, but just looking at the color doesn't necessarily mean it's bad if there's no leak and the spark is long.

The problem is that it's consuming a lot of fuel, and it doesn't use a carburetor; it's fuel-injected and has no leaks. I've been told it could be a coil problem. How can I fix that?

Check the condition of the airflow sensor. If it were the coil, you would experience instability at idle, jerking when accelerating, backfiring, or something similar. Sometimes they fail without throwing fault codes because the ECU only registers signals below the acceptable minimum or above the maximum value at certain intermediate RPMs; it doesn't detect fluctuations as a fault.
