Hello friends of mechanical manuals, today I have a problem with a 1999 Voyager with a 3.8 engine. The problem is the following: I changed the Voyager's evaporator and logically I had to remove the dashboard to be able to remove the climate control unit. I changed it and reinstalled everything. In the front, I removed the plenum to have a little more space for the heating pipes and hoses. Well, so far so good. Once everything was installed, I started the Voyager and it started, but it immediately stalled. I restarted the engine and it started again, but this time with a little acceleration, and it still stalled again. I started it again and it started again, but it stalled. On the fourth try, it wouldn't start and the speedometer and PRND321 lights went out, and now it won't start. I checked the power and grounds at the starter relay and noticed that the ground wire is missing, and that wire comes from the computer and is the pin. 31. I grounded that wire, and now it cranks, but the engine won't start, much less try to start. I thought it was locked, and a specialist in original alarms came and told me it's not the alarm, it's something else...
The million-dollar question is, has anyone had a similar problem and could offer some guidance? I'm an air conditioning technician, not an electrician, and as we all say, if the car arrived at your shop working, then it should leave working...
If anyone can guide me on how to get that engine running and deliver it to the customer...
