CODED KEY Published by manual-mecanica
Hello, I'd like to know if anyone has been able to bypass the security of a vehicle with an electronic key lock. I had a Ford Fiesta in my shop in Manizales, and there was no way to reset the code in my city, so we had to take it to Pereira to have it unlocked, which was extremely expensive. Now a friend has the same problem with a Fiat Palio, but it can't be done here either. Someone told me there's a way to bypass this system; does anyone know how? :?: :?: ?????? :( :(

Manual-mechanics response on the topic Re: CODED KEY
To do this, remove the ignition switch (the lock cylinder, where you put the key to start the car). Don't disconnect any wires. Remove the ignition switch (the back part of the lock cylinder) and with a flat screwdriver or similar, insert it into the lock cylinder and turn it to start the car.

But even so, it might not be of much use to you, since if the key doesn't send the correct coded signal to the vehicle's computer, there's no way to start the engine.

Manual-mechanical response on the topic of CODED KEY
If it's a coded key,
first check if the key is emitting the code using special equipment. If it isn't, you'll need to program a new one
or deactivate the ECU.
