Central locking system for Xsara I. Published by manual-mecanica
Okay, greetings to everyone. I'm new here and I'm hoping you can help me out because I'm desperate. The driver's side door lock broke, and when I went to Citroën they told me they don't have my lock anymore and that I need to modify it to fit the one from a Xsara 2. The terminal is different. I went to a junkyard and got one from a Xsara 2 with the terminal to splice it in. All the wire colors are almost the same except for the green one. I put it on, but the lock bounces back and stays open. They told me I have to disconnect one wire. Do you know which one it is? Or how I have to connect them?

I have no idea, mate. Anyway, try removing the wires one by one and see what happens, or ask at Citroën if a mechanic can explain the modification to you.

I'll see if I can talk to a friend of mine who works at Peugeot (they share practically all the components and wiring diagrams), but... I'M NOT PROMISING ANYTHING.

Yeah, yeah, you keep blowing into each of the holes in that thing until it plays the flute... Wow, I'm so clever! thought the donkey. Okay,

Megabeat, explain to him with an irrefutable and scientific reason why a lock bounces when you try to close it.

After a while, I'm talking to you, "Blata," you'll realize that what you need to find is the lock from a Xsara like yours, not like the one from an alien car.

Are you looking in the junkyard for a car that's completely different from yours to fix your car?
Hmm...

God, give me a head so I have hair, because I already have limbs that are too small to think...

As always, my opinion is the same: GO TO A WORKSHOP!

DUDE, I CAN'T SWIM, I ADMIT IT, AND WHAT I DO IS STAY AWAY FROM THE EDGE OF THE POOL.
