Hello, a Nissan Navara has entered my workshop with the 110,000 km engine fault, D22 engine, year 2004, I am referring to the failure of the connecting rod of the 4th cylinder, a typical Nissan fault.
I've read about it, there are videos on YouTube, and if everything matches up, my question is: is it just a matter of changing the connecting rod of the 4th cylinder, just the bushings that attach it to the crankshaft, or how?
The vehicle starts, but the timing chain guide on top is rattling and there's a rattling noise, but it has compression, everything is fine, no strange smoke or anything. On Monday I'll check the oil pressure in case the pump is bad or something.
I'm hoping someone can tell me which parts need replacing to fix it properly, because if there are too many, the customer might not bother getting it fixed.
The video is not of the vehicle in my workshop, but it does the same thing and is identical to it.
