Help with motorcycle selector drum published by Manual-Mecanica

Hello everyone, my name is Lolo and Manufacture by machining.

Together with a partner we are doing a job in which we must expose and explain the operation of the gearbox of a motorcycle. We have the axes ready with all its elements and dimensions.

Without Emmbargo, we still have to define the operation of the selector drum.

We know the basic functioning that, if we are not mistaken, is that through the turn of the solidarity star to the drum, it rotates causing the linear displacement of the wired anchored in their slots, coating and unraveling in turn the synchronizers with the crazy pine nuts.

However, we do not know how the movement of the gear lever to the change plate is transmitted, and from it to the star; The usefulness of 1 "neutral light rotor butt", as well as issues such as the diameter of the drum cylinder, the dimensions and routes of the drum slots, or the cost of the entire set.

That is why I ask for your help to indicate a website or manual, some plane or simply explain it to me, since it would help me.

Sorry if I have not posted on the right place.
Thank you very much for your attention.

Greetings.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Help with motorcycle selector drum
Hi Lolo.
I can help you with the operation of the system, but the dimensions of the drum and other components can only get them by accessing the original plans of the engineer, or, getting the pieces in some scrapping or similar.
The operation is simple:
the gear lever is solidary to Axis 4 by one end, at the opposite end, it joins the 3 -plate
3 Plate 3, therefore, when you act on the solidarity shift lever to Axis 4, it rotates plate 3 and this in turn, produces a rotation movement on the 13th star that is solidarity to the selector drum 15. I think the rest you already know.
I hope I have helped you.
Greetings friend.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Help with motorcycle selector drum
Hello again, I feel the delay.
The pieces that you tell me are a setting site of the selector drum once the march is engaged. It is a kind of ratchet that allows the drum to turn to change the march
when you act on the change lever.
If you investigate in You Tube you will surely find some dynamic video of the system.
Greetings and Merry Christmas!
