MECHANICAL CONSULTATION CATALIZADOR PUBLISHED BY MANUAL-MECANICA
Hi, I have a Peugeot 206. Today I was driving and suddenly it has begun to blink the catalyst light. I have stopped the car and let it parked. After 2 hours I have taken it again and now, nothing at all. All correct. The car works well. The light has not turned on again. I don't know what to do. If taking it to a workshop or waiting to see if it happens again, since I do not know the importance that it has the subject or the consequences that it can bring to the car. Thanks in advance and greetings.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Mechanical Catalyst Consultation
Let's see, the presence of that light eventually in the picture indicates a specific failure of the system, that is, something has given error but it is not permanent.

Those things happen, through loose cables, because you step on a puddle enooorrme and the exhaust line gets wet and therefore the Lambda probes cool (your car has two) in which case they give error or because they are really beginning to fuck something.

First of all, it is not a breakdown too serious, although the light does not turn on continuous, the fault code is recorded in the switchboard. The next 20 or 25 times that start the car and no failure is observed, the switchboard will erase the code automatically.

If the failure is produced again before those 20 25 times, the light will turn on fixed and will not go out (something has screwed)

if this happens, you have to go to the workshop to see what it happened to it. In your case it can be:

1st Lambda probe prior to the
2nd Lambda catalyst after the
3rd obstructed or broken catalyst catalyst.

I hope I have helped you
greetings
