Hello friends, I have a Peugeot Patagonia with an HDI engine. The engine revs to 2500 RPM and the check engine light comes on. If I reset it, it runs normally until I accelerate hard, at which point it goes back into limp mode. I connected a scanner and it says the fuel pressure regulator valve has a permanent fault. My question is: does it need to be replaced, can it be tested externally, cleaned, disabled, etc.? If anyone knows how it works, I would appreciate it if you could let me know. Best regards, Julio

Manual-mechanics response on the topic Re: Peugeot Partner HDI engine injection failure
My friend, the valve you're talking about is inside the fuel pump. You have to remove and disassemble the pump to take it out. It's best to have it done professionally; this problem is common in Peugeot HDI engines. But if you don't know what you're doing, don't even try to take it apart yourself. You have to remove the timing belt, and it's a real hassle.
