Honda CBR1000rr 2007 Published by manual-mecanica
I'm having electrical charging problems with my motorcycle. I've already replaced the battery, but it drained it. It has low mileage, so it's very unlikely to be the alternator and/or rectifier. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone with a similar motorcycle could share some information.
Regards,
Marco A

Don't include your email address in forum posts, especially not without hiding it. All you'll achieve is a spam inbox. If you want people to contact you, it's best if they use the website's internal messaging system. You could even create a group on the social network to share information about your Honda. It's important to include your vehicle model in your profile so other owners can easily find you.

I'm not very knowledgeable about motorcycles, but I think the problem you have is the alternator. Anyway, it's easy to check with a multimeter if you have one; if not, any electrician can help you. You just have to connect it to the battery and check the charge it's producing. There's a manual way to check if the alternator is charging correctly, commonly used in cars. I imagine you can try it the same way on your motorcycle. Let it idle and disconnect one battery terminal while the motorcycle is running. If it stalls, the alternator is the problem. Then you just have to figure out which part is faulty, since motorcycle alternators work differently, with an eccentric winding rotating inside a housing. But if it helps, take my advice.
